Altered Picture Frame Prima Fairy

Hi well nearly the end of another week kids back to school on Monday yikee school run

This was a picture frame I bought from a charity shop for 1.50
it was a horrible yellow stained look to it but the porcelain flowers on it where pretty
so I painted it with vintage white acrylic paint then spritzed it with candyfloss spray I then painted some of the flowers with rose pink acrylic paint to freshen them up the blue flowers I just added some blue spritzer to the middle. I used the Fairy Belle prima paper to fussy cut out this fairy and then added silicon glue to give some depth. I then added more flowers and bling to the bottom of the frame and some tulle and pearls around the frame.

I painted a silver butterfly the same rose pink and added a pink heart

the long spray I painted sea green to match the layout oops I can see glue strings lol

so there we go I hope you like my altered picture frame

Vintage Fabric Collarge journal

Hi all I hope you are having a great bank holiday.
I have finally finished the fabric book I have been working on for the past month it definatly has taken me a while to finish but I finally did I am so happy with it and hope it will stay in my family for yrs to come
So this is the first page all the flowers I made my self and also added ribbon bows are from muslin
the lace and doilys are mostly vintage with few that are not as it the lace, the images I got from the internet and printed it onto fabric paper which has a fine canvas feel it will last as paper would have ripped and faded, the buttons are vintage pearl buttons and the pearls were from Fi of Jennings 644 etsy shop.

One the first page it is done in creams and whites, I made a pocket out of a white vintage doily then added some wedding lace applique, I added a small image and a string of small pearl trim around the page I then made a white eyelet flower with white feather and stick pin to match the whole page is covered in laces and trim.
On page two I added some small square doilys as pockets then some tulle and lace trim,
vintage pearl buttons and a cream eyelet flower and flower stick pin.
I made two paper vintage tags to add to the pockets again the whole page around the edges is covered in lace trim I also added a bobbin with lace and pearls on it to hang down.

closer look at page 1
Closer look of page 2
This is page 3 I used vintage doilys and lace and the trim along the bottom is from a vintage runner
the flowers on this page I made. The cloths pin I added some vintage lace to and a ice pearl
wedding dress applique was added to the top left corner and a gorg vintage image.

Vintage pearl buttons, wedding dress trim handmade flowers and some pearl trim where added to this 4th page is page was made out of a large cream cotton tissue box cover which I took apart
then added vintage trim to extend the page.
vintage pearls where added
This is the middle pages which I added a large white cotton table mat to and left the top open as pockets wedding dress trim was added to the right side and flowers made by me and on the right a small vintage image was added to some tute which I frayed.

I added pearls to the lace ribbons hanging from the flowers and bobbin

again lots of lace trims used and the flowers made from vintage table cloths I got from a carboot that had lots of wholes in but made great rolled flowers I added pearl buttons and gems to them

closeup page 5 I think lol

close up page 6

wedding dress applique was added to this page and a satin rose spray, lace ribbon and pearls was added with some bling trim around the image this image looks a bit faded but I think it was just the angle I took the pic

I made a jumbo flower out of white eyelet trim and and vintage old table cloth I added small pearls and gems to it and a small rosette flower for the middle the smaller rosette and ribbons are made out of the same table cloth I also added some fine pearl bead trim around the flower under neath the flower are a white and a cream large vintage doily and again some of the table runner to the bottom of the page

This is the back page very plain lol but I did add some trims and lace to it

I am sorry if this is a bit picture heavy but it was a very big fabric book to picture and the pictures don't do it justice as it is way nicer in the flesh I hope you have enjoyed looking at the pics I would hate to say how much it cost me to make as it was a case of collecting lots of vintage bits and having to use some more up to date trims other but I hope like I said it will be passed on

I then added the lace with some acrylic paint
the Texture paste is made from the following

3 tablespoons of Bi-carbonate of soda
1 tablespoon of school glue (pva)
1/2 tablespoon of acrylic paint you can make different colours using different coloured paints
mix it all together and keep in an airtight container until needed

I then dabbed some pale pink acrylic paint in some places not all over

I changed the lid of the bottle because the one that it came with didnt go so I used this fab jumbo gem I got from Etsy

I used lots of mixed media bits on this project stamping, lace embossing loads for a small book

I made the stick pin and added feathers

I did a bit of Zentangle on this bird then stamped a shadow image
I added lace trim which was a light brown but wanted it black so coloured it with a copic in black
a fairy rubon was added with some flowers

lace, stamping, leaves and butterfly added to this tag

This brass owl is actually an earing from primark lol I took it apart and added it with some black bead trim

on this page I stamped some flowers then added some pearl drops and white pen
simple but effective
embossed chipboard bird with black pen zentangle and some stamping
on the other page I used more pieces from crafty emblies embossed them and a little white pen dashes around the outside
