A Little bit of Scrap goes a long way

Hi my crafty chicks hop you are having a nice weekend and the weather has brightened a bit for you. We managed to get my new Gazebo up as the sun shined on and off today and no rain it will probably rain now for the rest of the month so I cant sit out in it lol.
Anyway todays card is called Scraps thats because all the DP and matting layers are all from my scap bin and from the bottom of it I might add, I had a good sort of of my scrap drawer I was very anul about it and sorted it into white paper colour matting paper and patterened paper lol.
but at least it is a bit more manageable I am not very good at throwing my scraps away.

So the image I am sorry to say I dont have a clue who it is by I am very sorry for that but it was one I had from ages ago that I stamped at a craft class I only just coloured her last week she was so easy to colour to.
I used copics to colour and polychromas pencils and sansador the DP like I said is out of my scap box and not sure who's it is again it was from a craft class the lace is new and I love it its from Hobby craft they do some lovely lace there all flowers are from my stash that I have not touched for yrs the ribbon is from the yellow paper-mania capsule range I have had for ages two I stitched all around zigzag with my machine and added a few lemon pearls I hope you like my card  I really enjoyed making it and the image is cute must find out who its by I need more like here.
oh and by the way I have just notice my lace is on the wonk and not level grrr will need to sort that it will annoy me otherwise

Maggie card and storage idea

Hope you are all having a restful Bank Holiday so today as promised I have made a card with the last image I distress coloured

so hope you like the end results
The DP is magnolia which has been stitched with my machine the image has been cut out with circle spellbinders and then one of my new Cherry Lynne dies Called Sophie's Heart you cant see all of it which is a shame as it is lush but anyway the bit you can see is lush to lol. The heart dies are also Cherry Lynne also a new addition to my crafty stash the hanging charm and pearls I made and the flowers are a mixture of mulberry crafts and my stash I used a Cherry Lynne vine and the leaves are a woodware leaf punch.
I also added some white gauze behind the image and a pearl heart to the cherry lynne heart and across the top of the image,so hope you like.
I also wanted to show you my version of what I use instead of a clip it up for storing my stamps, I do have a clip it up and it is fab and would like another one but you are talking nearly £100 pounds for a double tower
so I did a bit of hunting and came up with this

This is in fact a shoe rack I got from Amazon for 16.99 and bought some bags of clip it up clips from ebay 3 bags of 25 cost me about £18.00 it comes with a solid base so it wont fall over and the clip it up clips fit perfectly I haven't filled it yet but I will do lol. the only thing you will need to do is to add some no nails strong glue to the underside of each layer by the rubber support or when you add your stamps the 3 baskets will slip down if you just add it to the small rubber rings under each basket it will still rotate. You still have the baskets to store what ever you want in.  As you can just see I have some clip it up stamp storage on my wall to the left but also have a bar with hooks on it which holds my whimsy stamps which I got from Ikea.
so I hope you like my little share of my crafty storage idea

My Distress colouring progress

Hi all happy Sunday hope you are having a good weekend
today I dont have a card but I have been practicing colouring with distress inks

this was the first attempt I got the skin ok sort of for a first attempt lol but then I messed up the shadowing on the dress so it looks murky the shoes are fine I was happy with them. The next error I made was with the hair that also went a bit murky lol but I am not one to give up so I tried again

Now on this one I was really happy with how the cloths turned out but mucked up the skin on this one a bit and had to dab it with a tissue to get some of the colour of but I probably notice more than you cause I am the one that messed it up lol but on the hole I was better please with this one. I forgot to do the doggy though so he will be a white dog lol. I am still having trouble getting the hair right
Any way I am not one to give up so tried again

So with this practice I had just receive the new Tim Holtz limited added ink pads and Omg they are fab so I used two of them the light lilac and the turquoise one and was soooo happy with how the cloths turned out .
The skin turned out better to so but again struggle with the hair ending up with a dirty murky colour again but I will get there.

So I think this is my fave so far I managed to get the hair not to look like a murky mess and the skin seemed to work out, I will keep practicing.  I wanted to share my progress with you as always believe practice practice practice is the key, like I said in one of my posts it was really hard at first to not colour like I was using my Copics. I think that was the mistake I was making. I will make a card with the last 3 but not the top one lol so hope you enjoyed me sharing my little progress pos,t have a great Sunday and dont eat to many roasties Oh who am I kidding eat loads they are lush .

That little bit of Gypsy in me

Hi folks hope you are having a good week end
today I wanted to bring you a just because card I made using one the the fab Saturated Canary images by Krista Smith
I have had this image coloured for a while and decided to make a card up with her

I coloured the image with copics and prisma pencils
The image is called Zorana a Dancing Gypsy available here
The DP is from K&Co which I stitched with my machine.
the Dies are from Memory Box apart from one. The sentiment is from Lili of the valley.
the ribbon beads and pin I made my self and the flowers are from Mulberry Crafts
behind the image I added some creamy gauze which I got from my local scrap store for free.
I have just notice I need to stick the bottom corners of my card layers as the ribbon is pulling it a bit lol.

So there you go for today hope you have a great Saturday and it is not to wet where you are

CSAYL Challenge Christmas Boot

Hi happy Friday crafters the weekend starts here, today I bring another challenge card for CSAYL
the theme for this week is
so lots of glitter on your cards
so that should be fun

Our sponsor for this week is the fab

with a fab prize of £10.00 for the winner

so onto my card

This is a kit I got from Ribbon Box the shoe  is made with green velvet paper and the top of the shoe and the heal and tongue of the shoe is all in glitter paper to be honest this picture does not do this card justice and I also ended up with glitter all over the green velvet paper lol. I used small flower boarder peel off (yes the dreading peel offs) to decorate around the Boot. As you can see I added lace and ribbon to the top of the boot and just below the tongue of the boot adding some holly and leaf ribbon with some gold tiny beads and red sequins as berries
I hope you like my Christmas Boot
Pop along to the challenge to join in and see my other teamies fab creations
